The Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI), as the peak body representing private sector, on Thursday 3 September facilitated a roundtable discussion with a high-level delegation from the Solomon Islands Government (SIG) which focused on ‘Standards and Compliance’ in the local manufacturing industry.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at the Noro Police Station in Western Province have arrested and charged a 27-year-old male person on 31 August 2020 for alleged sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old girl on several occasions in Noro between May and June 2020.
The meeting agreed that such measures are important to ensure the health and safety of the population of Malaita from COVID-19.
