The Ministry of Health and Medical Services and partner agencies will be conducting a full-scale simulation exercise today.
The public has been informed that the simulation exercise is not a lock down, and as such there is no limitation of movement and all shops, public transportation, businesses, offices will remain open as usual.
The exercise started at 8 AM this morning and ends at 5 PM this evening.
The public is also advised that the simulation exercise will be conducted in various locations throughout Honiara. This is all part of ongoing efforts to improve preparedness and response capacity of various agencies.
Such simulation exercise seeks to examine and strengthen existing plans, procedures, and capabilities to manage an imported case of COVID-19.
