Australia Suppports Correctional Services Infrastructure Priorities

World Bank Country Director visits Tina River Hydropower Project

The World Bank Country Director for Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Islands, Mr Stephen Ndegwa, visited the Tina River Hydropower Development Project site in central Guadalcanal this week to view the progress made on the project since his previous visit in late 2023.

Guadalcanal Province Donates Bed Nets to Correctional Services

The Guadalcanal Province Vector Borne Disease Control Program recently donated eight bales of mosquito bed nets to the Correctional Service Solomon Islands (CSSI) at the Guadalcanal Provincial Warehouse in Honiara.
Currently there are around 6982 Solomon Islands workers participating in the PALM scheme in Australia and have remitted approximately SBD 247million into the Solomon Islands economy.
