Officials of teams earmarked to participate in the youth tournament in Honiara with the visiting Port Moresby youth team next month are urged to attend a meeting this Thursday at the HFA Office, Lawson Tama at 5pm.

According to Samson Faisi, an organizer of the competition, not many teams were represented at the meeting on Monday and they would like all the participating teams to be represented on Thursday.

"This is important and I expect all of you to attend the meeting because we need to be clear on what is happening in the coming weeks leading up to the tournament," he added.

Faisi met with officials from Port Moresby at the recent OFC Youth Festival in Noumea where a relationship was built and strengthened.

It was at this tournament that the proposal for the tour was born. Faisi had then been in contact with his counterpart in Port Moresby on a regular basis to work on the finer details of the competition.

The local teams that have been named for the tournament include; Koloale, Marist and Kossa Schools of Excellence with two Honiara schools; Florence Young and Mbua Valley.
