Tenelle, a well known musician of Pacific Island heritage but based in California USA, will be touring and arriving in the Solomon Islands for the very first time.

Tenelle is expected to arrive in the country this afternoon, Tuesday 7th February, and says she is very excited to be finally coming to the Solomon Islands for her very first time.

Tenelle will be in the country on February 10th & 11th as part of the ‘Love & Reggae’ concert series.

“The first show will be Friday 10th of February. The concert will be held at Coral Sea Resort, alongside DMP, Flypsyddaz Band, Blad P2A, Young Davie, Sisiva, Trabol Sum, and Ruffneck and will be hosted by DJ Tom Tom of Zfm & Big Momma,” said Victor Lopez, the main promoter of the concert, in an email to Solomon Times Online.

He says tickets are on sale from Coral Sea Resort hotel reception. Advanced Tickets $200, General Admission $250 and VIP Meet & Greet $300. All tickets purchased before Friday 10th February go into the draw to win a brand new phone courtesy of Our Telekom (two phones will be given away)

The second show will be on Saturday 11th February in Noro, Western Province at Double-A Nightclub.

Doors open at 7pm for both shows

The tour is proudly sponsored by Our Telekom, Paoa FM & SolBrew.

Mr. Lopez says Tenelle will also be visiting local schools, and hospitals in the Solomon Islands during her short visit and hopefully be able to record music with local artists.

“Tenelle recently has been on tour in the pacific islands for the last three months, she has performed sold-out shows in Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, Samoa, Tonga, and Hawaii. She flew home to California from Hawaii to visit family and will spend two days at home before departing back to the pacific for the final shows of her tour in the Solomon Islands then will take a break for a few months to record her new album.

“It’s an honor to have the chance to tour Grammy award nominee, billboard charting, and 2018 pacific music awards winner ‘Tenelle’ to the Solomon Islands which is also the first female reggae artist to tour the Solomon Islands in over 13 years.

“Blad P2A of DMP was on tour recently with Tenelle in Australia and were privileged to witness her deliver an amazing performance, we knew at the point that we needed to bring her to the Solomon Islands,” Lopez said.
