The University of the South Pacific is a leading provider of education in the South Pacific, including Solomon Islands, says Acting Director of USP Centre in Honiara, Chris Salini, at the Centre's Open Day.

Set on the theme, "Driving Education with Technology", students in Honiara's USP Centre were challenged yesterday of being better people for tomorrow, in their families and community and the nation as a whole.

"[Today's] celebration theme should ring in our minds that for the years to come as students in what ever situations you are placed, whether in secondary or tertiary, you should make it your goal to plan for your future and eventually our future for Solomon Islands," said Mr. Salini.

He added that USP is among the top Universities recognised world-wide.

"For anyone wishing to further their education at USP Centre is equally doing themselves a good favour," Mr. Salini said.

He said that learning is a life long process and whoever wishes to take up the opportunities offered at the University of the South Pacific be achievers of tomorrow.
