The Solomon Islands Volleyball Federation (SIVF) is the first National Federation (NF) to sign the Solomon Islands National Institute of Sports (SINIS) High – Performance Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today.

The signing ceremony was held at the SINIS office between SIVF President Morris Maitaki and SINIS High Performance Executive Director Aaron Alsop.

In a statement SINIS says that the MOU outlines all of the support services and programs on offer. This includes assistance in areas of training facility and equipment access, coach and athlete scholarships and a range of capacity building programs.

The programs on offer are some of the best in the region, and have not been offered in Solomon Islands before SINIS was established.

SINIS High – Performance congratulate SIVF President Morris Maitaki and his executive for taking the lead, and look forward to supporting SIVF and their athletes.

SINIS says for other National Federations to benefit they need to ensure that their compliance systems are in line with their governing International Federations, National Sports Council (NSC) and the National Olympic Committee (NOCSI.

They are also required to be in good standing in order to be entitled for an MOU for High Performance services programs and facilities.

SINIS says the High Performance program and the National Federations are partners in the country’s preparations for the Pacific Games, ensuring that the best support possible is available for the coaches and athletes of the National programs.
