The Solomon Cup tournament is now confirmed to kick off from the 16 to 30 November in Honiara.

The Solomon Star reports, the dates were agreed on during a meeting of the Local Organizing Committee on Monday. The organizing committee also said nine Provincial Football Associations have already confirmed their participation.

It says Makira-Ulawa Football Association is yet to confirm their participation. The committee said registration for the Solomon Cup would close next Monday.

The competition will be played in a pool system of five teams in each pool for men.

As for the women competition, if the number of teams were less than six, they will play in a round robin format.

The organisation committee said there are no restrictions on the players wishing to play for their provinces as it is an open competition.

It says travel arrangement, transportation and accommodations should be met by the Provincial Football Associations.
