The Pacific Games 2023 mascot, affectionately named SOLO, is on a provincial tour, drumming up support and spreading the spirit of the upcoming Pacific Games.

SOLO is a sea turtle, chosen as the mascot for the 2023 Pacific Games in Honiara. The Mascot is said to captures the spirit of the 2023 Pacific Games with a character that is representative of all regions and peoples of Solomon Islands.

Local artist Brain Feni was the winning designer, with his vision digitalized and now set to be front and centre in the lead-up to the Solomon Islands' first time staging the event.

SOLO’s name was the result of an open naming competition, targeting primary and secondary school students in the Solomon Islands. The winners were Damien Paul White, a grade 6 Student of Woodford International School and Zola Karamui, a form 6 student of Betikama Adventist College.

SOLO is currently in Isabel, and will meet with Isabel Premier Hon. Ms Rhoda Sikilabu and her government. SOLO will later visit the Nature Conservancy Rangers and will than do school visits to Jejevo kindergarten and Jejevo Primary and Secondary school.

The 2023 Pacific Games, officially known as the XVII Pacific Games, is a continental multi-sport event with participation exclusively from archipelagic countries around the Pacific Ocean that is scheduled to be held in Honiara, Solomon Islands between 19 November to 2 December 2023.
