Defending Solrais Women’s Premier League Champions (SWPL), the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) Royals are in 3rd place after the conclusion of Round 1.

The Royals are 3 points off the top when Round 2 resumes on 19 June 2021.

The conclusion of the SWPL Round 1 also sees the Royals farewell New Zealand Police Solomon Islands Police Support Program (SIPSP) Advisor and Coach Mark Crawford and Australian Federal Police (AFP) Solomon Islands Police Development Program (SIPDP) advisor and player Nourah Ajaj.

Royals Assistant Coach Priscilla Tariga commented, “I would like to thank our major sponsors, the AFP’s Cyber Safety Pasifika program and SIPDP for their support throughout Round 1. Though we have had some challenges in Round 1, we have shown incredible team spirit and passion for football. We will continue to work hard in Round 2 to defend our title.”

Coach Tariga says, “Working with Mark has improved every player on the team also helped me a lot as a coach. On behalf of the Royals, I would like to thank Mark and Nourah for their hard work last season and this season. Team Royals salutes you both and wish you God’s blessings on your journeys back home to New Zealand and Australia. We will miss you both greatly.”
