A joint team of serious crime investigators and detectives from Honiara City are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 20 year old male in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The 20 year old male was allegedly stabbed with a sharp instrument following an argument with two other men at White River around 2.00am on Saturday morning. He was taken to the National Referral Hospital but later died in the early hours of Sunday Morning.

Two young men in their twenties have been arrested by the Joint investigation team and White River Police with assistance from members of the White River community.
The two men are currently in police custody.

Police are calling for people that may have witnessed any suspicious behaviour or the incident around the Central White River and Namoruka Road junction and near by areas in the early hours of Saturday morning, the 5th of April 2008.
