The popular singing sensation of Papua New Guinea, Anslom Nakikus arrived into the country on Sunday and will have his first performance on Friday at the Water Front Night Club.

In an interview with Anslom Nakikus this morning, he said that his visit to Solomon Islands is not just to perform but also to promote his second album 'Fool Moon'.

Mr. Nakikus said that the second album was his first one with the Mangrove Productions, one of his sponsors who made his Solomons tour possible.

"I am very happy to be in the country to do what I love, music," the PNG talent said. "I love the people of Solomon Islands and the life of the people here is very beautiful".

He also highlighted that part of his tour is to meet some of the local musicians in Honiara, an opportunity he termed as "very lucky to have the chance to meet the Solomon Islands musicians".

Mr. Nakikus will be in the country for a week and will be leaving next week, but he is looking forward to his live appearances.

He also told Solomon Times of his passion for reggae, which is dominant in his music.

"I love reggae music, I became involved in music because I have a passion for it and I am not doing it for competition," admitted the artist.

He stated his appreciation to his sponsors for bringing him into the country.

"I want to thank my sponsors which are Tongs Cooperation, Mangrove Productions, Water Front Night Club and Sharzy from the Z FM Studio," he said.

Mr. Nakikus will be playing live at the Water Front Night Club on Friday Night and Saturday night.

For one who has been in the country quite a number of times, Mr. Nakikus admits his love for the Solomons.

"I will be coming back again next time," said Mr. Nakikus.
