The National O-League Representatives has gone into camp for the final week of its preparations to meet Lautoka Football Club of Fiji.

Marist Head Coach, Patrick Miniti informed the Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) Media Office that the team is camping at NAC facilities in Tenaru east of Honiara. The same venue was used by the club when preparing for the finals of the Our Telekom National Club Championship in June.

According to Miniti the purpose of the camp is to develop a bonding between the players which will be essential for their expected tough meeting with the Fijian champions. "The camp will allow my players to keep their focus and concentrate on the mission at hand," Patrick Miniti said.

When asked about his team's preparations Miniti said that he is happy with what the club has done so far to prepare for the O-League match against Lautoka. Miniti added that Marist will continue to train throughout this week.

Miniti explained that Marist will be focussing on attack and defence this week to iron out any weaknesses. 'Lautoka is a strong team so we have to work hard,' Miniti said, adding that the team will need to be at peak fitness to compete against the Fijians.

Lautoka will be playing in the IDC Championship in Fiji before flying to Honiara for its first O-League match against Marist.

The two teams will meet on Sunday 18th October, 2009.
