The second motion of no confidence, filed by Small Malaita MP William Haomae, has been ruled out of order by Speaker of the National Parliament Sir Peter Kenilorea.

The MP for Small Malaita, William Haomae, submitted a notice to move a motion of no confidence against the Prime Minister, just a few hours after the mover of the first intended no confidence motion, Edward Huniehu, withdrew his intended motion.

However, in his ruling Sir Peter said the motion was disqualified for debate in parliament under Parliamentary Standing Orders as the subject matters of the motion were the same as those of last Friday's withdrawn motion of no confidence by the MP for East Are Are, Edward Huniehu.

The Opposition group continues to maintain that the government has acted inappropriately when it appointed Julian Moti as the Attorney General. The Opposition also stated that other appointments made by the Prime Minister were not in the best interest of the country.
