The Solomon Islands delegation, led by the Honourable Minister of Public Service, Hon. Tuhaika Jr, is attending the prestigious UN Public Service Forum in Incheon, Republic of Korea.

The significant event, running from June 24th to June 26th, brings together global leaders and senior public servants under the theme “Fostering Innovation amid Global Challenges.”

The UN Public Service Forum provides an invaluable platform for ministers, senior decision-makers, and high-level public servants to share insights and strategies. Participants will reflect on and develop the necessary skills to devise tangible actions, fostering innovation and addressing the pressing challenges faced by local and national governments.

The forum’s agenda includes keynote speeches, panel discussions, and interactive sessions designed to inspire and equip public servants with the tools needed for effective governance and public service innovation. Topics will cover a range of issues, from digital transformation and public sector resilience to strategies for overcoming socio-economic challenges.

The participation of the Solomon Islands delegation underscores GNUT’s dedication to continuous improvement and innovation in public service. By engaging with international peers and experts, the delegation aims to bring back valuable knowledge and practices to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of public service in the Solomon Islands.

Accompanying the Hon. Minister Tuhaika Jr are the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Service, Mr. Luke Cheka, and Assistant Secretary, Mr. Baddley Nimepo. This high-level delegation represents the commitment of the GNUT government to engage in international dialogue and collaboration aimed at driving innovation and transformative practices within the public sector.
