Tourism Solomons’ ‘Mi Save Solo 2024’ Industry Buyer/Seller Meet has been hailed a resounding success, with Australian and New Zealand buyers giving the event an impressive satisfaction score of 4.8 out of 5.
Held at the Heritage Park Hotel in Honiara, the event offered international buyers an exclusive opportunity to connect with Solomon Islands tourism operators, explore products firsthand in Honiara and the Western Province, and forge valuable partnerships to grow the local industry.
Tourism Solomons Acting CEO, Dagnal Dereveke, described the feedback as overwhelmingly positive.
“Attendees were thrilled with the blend of on-ground experiences and face-to-face interactions with local operators,” he said. “This has inspired many buyers to support the development of our tourism sector, with one even offering to train local suppliers on working with overseas agents.”
The success of the 2024 event has strengthened ‘Mi Save Solo’ as an initiative that promotes travelling while bridging the gap between local suppliers and international markets.
Now firmly established as a bi-annual highlight, the event is driving growth, collaboration, and fresh opportunities for Solomon Islands tourism.
