With only the second day of the Oceania Football Federation Futsal Championship the Solomon Islands football Futsal Kurukuru boys have now topped the Oceania football confederation Futsal table following their impressive 8-5 win over New Caledonia yesterday.

The Solomon Islanders provided an entertaining match for the 1000 strong crowd inside the Vodafone Arena as they came back from an early two goal deficit to set the tournament alight.

Alexandre Rosso and Edouard Murraccioli opened the scoring for New Caledonia before the Solomon side scored three quick goals through Moffat Sikwa'ae, Francis Lafai and Elliot Ragomo to lead 3-2 at the break.

Their goal count increased in the second half through Jenan Kapu, Jack Wetney, Ragomo and a double from Micah Lea'alafa.

The Kurukuru boys took on the Fijians yesterday.
