Solomon Islands top goalkeeper for Bilikiki beach soccer team, Fred Hale, has makeshift on a better seasonal start with his PNG team Hekari Souths United.

Mr. Hale said that joining the PNG National Soccer League helps to further improve him.

His joining the PNG league adds to a throng of Solomon Islands international who have made the move to the Papua New Guinea Football Association (PNGFA) National Soccer League (NSL) in recent years.

Mr. Hale and his team mate, Under-23 striker Joachim Waroi, have been brought into PNG National Soccer League (NSL) by Hekari Souths United FC to help beef up their 2009 O-League campaign.

The competition proper resumes on January 24th. Hekari, who have two outstanding games, lead the competition on 15 points followed by University (14) and Welgris Highlanders (13).

Mr. Hale said that he will be giving his best shot in the last two outstanding games.

"I will be seeing the two games as the most important one for me and also lift up my training."

Meanwhile, while playing overseas, the goal keeper still keeps up his support for his Bilikiki beach team.

Mr. Hale has starred at the past three FIFA Beach Soccer World Cups in Rio de Janeiro and Marseille.

He was part of the Solomon Islands international team that finished fourth at the XIII South Pacific Games in Samoa last year.
