The Honiara Rugby Union Association (HRUA) will be partnering with Matson & Silent World Shipping for the upcoming rugby 7 series scheduled to start on Saturday the 4th of August 2013 in Honiara, Solomon Islands.
All the 10 clubs affiliated to the Honiara Rugby Union Association are required to contact the executives for further information.
The rugby 7s series will be played over the next 2 months with the finals schedule for mid-September. Each affiliated club is to register one team only with the remaining spots given for 2 invitational teams from the province to complete the pool draws.
All interested players are asked to get in touch with their respective clubs and start preparing for this tournament. Current 7s players with the under 19s players plus the senior national 15s players are all welcome to participate in the series as SIRUF will use this to select the national team to the IRB Oceania 7s later this year.
SIRUF and HRUA executives acknowledge the timely sponsorship from Matson & Silent World Shipping to Honiara rugby this year. This partnership will continue after the rugby 7s series once the Oceania team is picked with a National 15s provincial championship to close the HRUA calendar year.
