Hospital Authorities have confirmed that the hospital's standby generator was rendered faulty, resulting in the longer than expected power outage at the hospital over the weekend.
Mrs Jennifer Iniakwala, a nurse at the special care nursery for new born babies, said that had it not been for standby oxygen cylinders, lives would have been lost.
