Prime Minister Dr Derek Sikua says the finalizing of the 2009 appropriation bill 2010 is one of governments main priorities before parliament meets again in November.

Dr Sikua says Ministries have made submissions to the Ministry of Finance who will then compile them into a draft for further consultation with ministries before it can be put before cabinet.

Prime Minister Sikua says government also has a major task of reviewing its medium term development strategy.

He says this will set the basis on where its will be going with the budget and donor support needed to assist the country in the next medium to long term period.

Other government priorities between now and the November parliament sitting include the Commission of Inquiry into the land dealings on Guadalcanal and the RIPEL Issue.
