Frustrated customers are questioning the Solomon Islands Electricity Authority (SIEA) over its continuous power cuts.

This is despite promise to the public by the SIEA Acting General Manager, Martin Sam, that the problem would be solved by first July.

The promise, however, seems to be going the opposite direction.

Customers are saying they are "sick and tired" of the ongoing power cuts which is affecting many businesses in the city and a headache to all.

They call on the SIEA to tell the truth to the public over their "poor and unreliable service."

SIEA staff are also being questioned over the way they charge customers, considering the long hours of power cuts on a daily basis.

They call on the Management of the SIEA to deal with the power cut problem and also discipline its staff.
