Australian Taekwondo Gold medalist and Coach, Bianca Scurry has arrived in the country today to Mentor and run a few courses for the nation’s ‘Team Taekwondo’.
Taekwondo Coach Bianca Scurry, who is from Melbourne Australia, has been an elite Taekwondo athlete for 20 years and has competed nationally and internationally being a representative for Australia.
Bianca still currently competes in elite level Taekwondo, with an impressive list of achievements including.
- Multiple Australian National Gold medallist (>46kg category and >49kg category).
- Australian Representative at numerous International competitions (US Open, Belgium Open, Dutch Open, Spanish Open and German Open).
- Bronze Medal Oceania Selections 2019.
- Gold Medal 2019 Korean Cultural Open.
She says she is super excited to bring some of the experience she has, not only in competing but in Coaching and help Mentor the Taekwondo team here as well.
“I will be here for a week [at Solomon Islands National Institute of Sport] to observe what is happening and run a few training sessions and then hopefully I will be here again in August full time leading up to the Pacific Games,” said Scurry.
