Teachers throughout the country once again go on another strike after the Solomon Islands national teachers association (SINTA) is unsatisfied with how the government has been dealing with their issues.

The threat came as the government admitted that it is not living up to the agreed time line as according to the MOU signed on 12th April this year.

The MOU had ended the long nationwide strike earlier in the year by teachers after many negotiations between the parties.

SINTA President, Mr. Samson Faisi reemphasized their stance and said SINTA will not allow any more of governments delaying tactics this time around as they are fed up with the government’s false hopes.

“SINTA will not allow the government to pull our nose any longer, a clear message to them.”

This recent twist emerged after SINTA executive meeting agreed on a nationwide strike notice for teachers effective as of midnight on Sunday the 14th.
