Police believed that the victim and a male person were having an argument during which the victim was subsequently stabbed in the abdomen.
Members of the public discovered the victim by the side of the road and immediately reported the matter to the police.
Police assisted the victim to the Central hospital where he was attended to by medical staff.
Police are urging members of the public who may have been in the area or may have any information in relation to the incident to come forward or contact them.

Police Investigate Stabbing
Detectives from Central CID are investigating circumstances surrounding the stabbing of a man at Point Cruz area near the Hot Bread Kitchen at approximately three o'clock last Saturday morning.
