Results are slowly trickling in with a few constituencies already starting the count. Below is a quick rundown on those constituencies being counted.

HONIARA
Counting has begun at the Rove Police station for West Honiara, with the counting of Ngossi polling station. Other constituencies begun quite late with East Honiara only starting its count two hours ago.

GUADALCANAL PROVINCE
North West Guadalcanal constituency: Honiara Businessman Bobo Detke is leading the count for the North West Guadalcanal constituency.

Mr Detke is in the lead with two polling stations being counted so far, on second place is the former MP Siriako Usa. It is expected that the battle will be between Bobo Detke and former MP Siriako Usa with other candidates failing to make an impression in early counting.

MALAITA PROVINCE
Counting in most constituencies has begun in the provincial capital, Auki. East Malaita constituency will begin later in the afternoon.

MAKIRA PROVINCE
Counting in all constituencies has begun.

ISABEL PROVINCE
Counting in all constituencies has begun.

WESTERN PROVINCE
Gizo Kolombangara: Only six polling stations left, with the results expected later in the afternoon.

North New Georgia: Job Dudley Tausinga has been declared winner by the Returning Officer.

RENNEL BELLONA PROVINCE
Rennell Bellona Constituency: Counting has begun in Tinngoa in Rennell, with the result expected later this afternoon.

TEMOTU PROVINCE
Counting in all constituencies has begun, results expected later in the afternoon for some.

CENTRAL PROVINCE
Ngella Constituency: Counting in progress with former MP Mark Kemakeza, John Lee Hatimoana and Bartholomew Parapolo leading the count.

Savo/Russell Constituency: Counting has began, delay in counting due to bad weather.
