The Taiwan Health Minister has cancelled a proposed three days trip to Solomon Islands.

It was reported Wednesday that the Taiwan Health Minister, Hon. Sheng-Mou Hou, was to lead a 4-member delegation to visit Solomon Islands from 16-18 December 2007.

The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) had reported that the trip was "to fulfill the Palau and the Majuro Declaration in health cooperation".

But local media were informed today that the health minister has postponed the trip "due to his hectic schedule".

A re-schedule of the trip will be announced on a later date.
