After losing a nail-biting encounter to Niue, Solomon Islands rebounded in spectacular fashion as they demolished and held Nauru to a single converted try.

Solomon Islands went ahead 10-0 in the first 10 minutes as an ominous sign of what was to come. It was already 30-7 by half time as the newcomers struggled to keep in touch with the fast running Solomon Islands team.
Solomon Islands relentless play did not allow Nauru to dictate long phases on the ball and it was the same story in the second half as they scored at will.
Moses Singamoana was the star for Solomon Islands as he raced through to score 3 tries.
Moana Tepuke wrapped up the afternoon with a brilliant scintillating run to score his second of the afternoon.
Meanwhile Papua New Guinea defeated Niue 29-10 to remain undefeated in the tournament. Solomon Islands will now play PNG to determine final standings.
