Solomon Airlines has confirmed its planned repatriation flight from Fiji has been rescheduled to the new departure date of 7th April subject to Government approval, allowing more time to accommodate travelers seeking to return to Solomon Islands.

Flight IE672 will depart Honiara at 9.00am Honiara time, arriving in Nadi at 1.00pm Fiji time.

Following confirmation of the easing of border restrictions by the Fiji Government, travel to Fiji will be open to anyone who meets the following requirements:

1. Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination
2. A pre-booked RAT test administered within 48 hours to 72 hours of arrival in Fiji
3. Either a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken 48 hours before departure OR a negative COVID-19
RAT test taken 24 hours before departure
4. FijiCare Travel Insurance, available to purchase online

The airline confirmed pre-approval to enter Fiji and quarantine are no longer required for arrivals from Solomon Islands into Fiji from 7 April.

Returning Flight IE673 will depart Nadi at 2.00pm Fiji time, arriving in Honiara at 4.00pm Solomon Islands time.

All passengers travelling on the service to Solomon Islands must have completed their COVID-19 vaccination at least 4 weeks prior to the flight and have submitted one negative COVID-19 test result taken 48 hours prior to arrival.

Prior to boarding, passengers will take a Rapid Antigen Test and checks will be undertaken to ensure all passengers are approved by the Solomon Islands Border Reopening Subcommittee and the Ministry of Health, following their receipt of the required test results and pre-departure forms.

Solomon Airlines has also announced an additional Honiara to Brisbane flight on 7 April available to Australia-bound passengers. Flight IE700 will depart Honiara at 5.00pm, arriving in Brisbane at 7.15pm.

“We are closely monitoring demand as people adjust to the new travel requirements and with Government approval, we will provide extra international services like these, to carry people when they are ready and able to travel,” said CEO Brett Gebers.
