The Solomon Islands Minister for Public Service has cautioned that the public service will become strict on all applicants qualifications and attitude towards work.

This was revealed during the debate on the 2013 budget estimate yesterday in Parliament.

Hon. Stanley Sofu says this is important to consider because some officers have good qualifications but poor work attitudes.

He has revealed that some Public officers are not performing to expected standards despite the good qualifications. He therefore urges supervisors to ensure their staff improve their work attitude.

However, the Minister praised his Ministry for the job well done in 2012.
