Organiser's to this year's Women's International Day that is barely a month away says it will be "more exciting".

Women's Development Officer at the Ministry of Women, Youth and Children (MWYC), Janet Kii, said the event scheduled to take place March 8th - 11th will have "a lot of exciting events".

She said highlight of the event will be a parade through Honiara city and a women's forum.

Programs lined up for the event include queen show, women's dress show, floral art, singing competitions and traditional dance displays.

"We guarantee a fun-packed four days and it will be much more interesting compared to what was displayed last year."

Venue for all activities will be outside multipurpose hall premises and free entrance to the public.
