Chairman of the Parliamentary Entitlements Commission, PEC, has assured premiers that the commission will seriously look at a submission on new entitlements for members of provincial assemblies, MPA.

Danny Philip made the assurance when he met provincial premiers and deputy Lord Mayor of Honiara City at the start of the third premiers meeting at Tulagi yesterday.

Chairman of the Tulagi meeting, Central Provincial Premier Patrick Vasuni said the premiers were very happy that the PEC chairman accepted their invitation for yesterday's meeting.

The premier said his colleague premiers raised their concern to the PEC Chairman that members of provincial assembly, MPA's, entitlements have not been revised on a regular basis as those of members of parliament.

Mr Vasuni said although the Commission had approved some new entitlements for Provincial assembly members' earlier this year, this is yet to be paid to them by the government.
