Pacific Forum leaders are giving Fiji until May to name a date for elections.

Fiji's interim leader, Frank Bainimarama, has been warned that the country is to name a date for elections or face partial suspension from the forum.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Dr. Derek Sikua says he will keep up dialogue with Fiji, and encourage it to move towards holding elections.

Dr Sikua says it was a consensus decision and one which Solomon Islands support.

But he says he will continue to talk to Fiji's interim leader, Mr. Bainimarama.

Dr Sikua says as a neighbour and a member of a MSG country, he will continue to encourage him to implement the communiqué that has been agreed on by all Forum leaders.
