Telekom's majority shareholder, the National Provident Fund, says it is the victim of the Telekom strike saga.

The Radio New Zealand International quotes NPF General Manager, Tony Makabo, as stating that Telekom will be footing Martyn Robinson's termination payout.

Mr. Robinson has been given a three months notice by the Telekom board which will cover the remaining two years of his three year contract and associated costs.

He leaves after 17 years of leadership in the company following the demands by striking workers of Telekom which crippled the telecommunication services in the country.
