A new saloon, BEN-G's is now open to the public.
In an earlier interview with a very optimistic young man, Benji Leve, spoke of a new saloon in progress.Solomon Times was present to witness the launch of the saloon Monday.
"We are doing very well in our first week of operation," an excited Mr. Leve said.
Solomon Times was informed that following the launch, clients are flooding in the saloon.
"It is very encouraging to see high interest at such an early stage because my aim is to make my saloon a hotspot for hairdressing in Honiara," Mr. Leve said.
The opening of BEN-G's hair saloon makes him the first professional local male hairdresser to operate in the industry.
"The challenge is high especially in meeting with demands of clients but this is how it will be as I strive to build this business into something big," the male hairdresser said.
Asked on steps taken for public interest in a new business, Mr. Leve said he had to go through the media and also go on the screens.
"I paid for advertisement on One News television because I know that going on the screen is a catch for viewers," he said.
Opening time for the BEN-G's is from Monday to Friday at 8:30am - 5:00pm and on Saturdays from 9:00am to 2:00pm.
