The Member of Parliament for North New Georgia Vona Vona, Hon. Silas Tausinga, has suggested that the government confirm from the Libyan government its offer to build a Futsal stadium for Solomon Islands.
Silas Tausinga, in his contribution to the Sine Die Motion debate in Parliament yesterday, says the Kurukuru Futsal team's impressive performance in last year's Alfatah Confederation Championship in Libya had won the hearts of the people of Libya and impressed many other nations.He says that the matter should be explored seriously given that the Solomon Islands already has already established diplomatic ties with Libya.
The suggestion made by the MP for North New Georgia Vona Vona is also in recognition of the Solomon Islands National Futsal Team, Kurukuru, who claimed their third consecutive OFC Futsal Championship in Fiji early last month.
