Hundreds of people flocked the Lawson Tama Stadium, most children, for the Carols in the Islands occasion.

The successful fun-packed night filled with various entertainment was organized by the Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands (RAMSI), Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) and DJ Graphics League.

A surprise escort of Santa Claus to the grounds onboard a RAMSI helicopter brought screams of delight from children and adults alike.

With more than 20 groups performing, including the RAMSI Pacific Choir, Vanuatu
Police plus local musicians, the night was filled with songs and laughter for all present at the stadium.

RAMSI distributed glowing sticks at the entrance to all the people lit up the night as people waved the colourful glows to the rhythm of Christmas carols sung.

The Carols in the Islands has truly set the right mode in the capital city, Honiara, with Christmas just days away.
