Dear editor please allow us to join other fellow students to send our words of condolence to:

The Wife, immediate family members, work colleagues, friends and relatives of the late John Eric.

Upon hearing the news in losing someone so close to whom we know best gives that much sorrow from this end as well. Indeed, this news reaching us brings that much and the weaves of this moment prompt the Solomon Islands students studying at USP Laucala campus to grieve as we learn in somewhat disbelief over the sudden passing away of late John Eric whom the lord has called to rest on the 30th April 2009.

At this gesture in moment of sheer silence with due respect to late John Eric Taika, the SISA council, executive members and students would also like to register our heartfelt sympathy and tender our deepest message of condolence with you all at this time of great loss.

Our hearts and mind are now caused to mull-over, as Late John Eric was then our very officer known to almost all scholars whom have queued up the NTU enquiry desk, for he has stand with other staff tasked there in attending to bundles of unit's related queries. His service as a senior professional officer amongst the NTU desk were enormous for which his card can be distinguished as a apt partner in heeding up most of our students now gauging their academic pursuance to a comprehensive height. His career which he was also a senior within has truly contributed in transcending the bulk of human resources of our nation to what they are today. His term in office has enfolded with many fine decisions and the vision he had shared has successfully reflected amongst those whom have passed graduation including the current flock of students.

His most recent educational visit to PNG show case his very nature of work that he love doing ever since and to the students of USP whom he visited us in the past years would recalled of his relieving presence here. His fellow colleagues will truly miss him while his fond individuality will be searched. His passing away has left huge gap to be filled in the Ministry of Education particularly within the NTU department. We acknowledge his contribution but for now our most sympathetic condolence remain with you all.

May our thrust for hope during these glum hours be posed to our almighty God and May the good Lord comfort us all at this time of bereavement.

SISA now join you all in paying our last tribute to Late John Eric Taika. With these profoundly in our hearts, thank you for accepting our words of condolence.
