A 46 year old man has been arrested in relation to a stabbing incident that took place on the 24th of April at the central market.

The victim, a young man in his mid 20's, is still being treated at the National Referral Hospital for serious injuries. The suspect is currently remanded in custody and will appear in court on a later date.

A concerned vendor at the central market stated that the police should have a stronger presence around the market area. "This is not the first time this has happened, just a few weeks ago a person was assaulted in broad daylight" the concerned vendor said. "People are getting scared to come to the market which is not good for us vendors"
