The Solomon Islands has lost to African champions Morocco by six goals to nil at the 2021 Futsal World Cup opener in Lithuania.

Morocco piled the pressure very early in the first half, and with a well-organized offence scored three quick goals.

Solomon Islands keeper Anthony Talo made some fine saves throughout the first half, keeping the Solomon Islands within reach going into the break.

The second half saw Morocco pushing the Solomon Islands defence, at times cutting through the defence at will, putting pressure on the defence and keeper.

Morocco had superior ball control, quick turns and shots proved too much for the Solomon Islands, with another three goals conceded before full time.

The match ended 6-0 in favor of Morocco.
