Auckland City piled in the goals against Koloale to stay unbeaten in this season's O-League.

Prevailing 7-3 over the visiting Solomon Islanders at Kiwitea Street yesterday, Adam Dickinson, Chad Coombes, Ivan Vicelich, Andrew Milne and Daniel Koprivic all got on the scoresheet to keep City top of Group B. Dickinson put the hosts ahead after just seven minutes, thanks to being in the right place at the right time when Coombes' shot hit the post and rebounded.

Just after the quarter-hour, Koloale drew level when former Waitakere United player Benjamin Totori set-up Steven Anisi. An open first half-hour saw possession evenly shared. But in the last 10 minutes of the half, City broke free, with a Coombs double giving them a 3-1 lead at the break. By the hour mark, City had rattled in three more goals and had the points in the bag, prompting coach Ramon Tribulietx to ring the changes and rest some legs.

Koloale were able to mount a mini fightback, with Totori nailing a stunning 25-metre strike and a James Naka consolation in injury time. But in between they weren't able to stop City pushing the tide out to seven.

Meanwhile, in Group A Waitakere United lost 3-0 yesterday in their tricky visit to Tahiti's AS Tefana. Behind after just one minute when Alvin Tehau scored, Sebastien Labayen (43) and Taufa Neuffer (70) completed the win for the hosts. Waitakere stay top of their group, two points clear of AS Tefana.
