A few more hours and the nomination of candidates for both Central Honiara and North East Guadalcanal by elections will close this afternoon at 4pm.
As of 2pm this afternoon, 10 candidates have registered for Central Honiara and 4 candidates for North East Guadalcanal Constituencies.
Returning Officer for Central Honiara Constituency Mr. Atu Balekana highlighted that nominations had been very smooth over the nomination period and urges any intending candidates that are still to hand in their nomination to do so before 4pm today.
Luke Cheka, Returning Officer for North East Guadalcanal also shared the same sentiments and acknowledges all candidates and nominators for their cooperation during the course of the nominations.
Final listing of contesting candidates will be displayed after the Ballot Paper Draw that will be held on Monday, 12th of October 2020, at respective nomination centers.
