Papua New Guinea’s High Commissioner to Fiji, H.E Ms. Lucy B. Bogari, has presented her credentials as the Permanent Representative of the independent state of Papua New Guinea to the Pacific Island Forum.

The letter of introduction was delivered during a courtesy call last Friday to Dame Meg Taylor, the Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum.

“Your Excellency, we are deeply honored by your visit and we acknowledge you as the Permanent Representative to the Pacific Islands Forum,” said Dame Meg, when receiving Ms. Bogari’s credentials.

“We welcome you and the Forum Secretariat stands ready to continue working with you and in further strengthening existing close cooperation between PNG government and the Forum Secretariat.”

Along with her credentials, Ms Bogari presented the Secretary General with a Kotupu, or Chiefly Necklace, and a tapa cloth, both from Oro Province of PNG.
