The Australian High Commissioner, Frank Ingruber, held separate meetings with Prime Minister Danny Philip and Foreign Minister Peter Shanel late yesterday afternoon.
The government is tight lipped on the outcome of the meeting.The Australian High Commissioner has, however, released a statement saying that the meetings were "positive and constructive" and he has reiterated that the allegations in the Solomon Islands media had no basis in fact.
The Australian High Commissioner says that Australia looks forward to continuing to work with the Solomon Islands Government to promote stability, economic progress and the welfare of all Solomon Islanders.
