The Prime Minister, Dr Derek Sikua says education assistance towards the ruling Government's fee free basic education policy will go a long way in the development of human resources in Solomon Islands.

He made the statement yesterday in Honiara while receiving 2-point-5 million dollars education assistance towards the fee free basic education from the Taiwanese Ambassador, George Chan.

The 2-point-5 million dollar ROC assistance is the second tranche of the fee free education grant.

Prime Minister Sikua said the Coalition for National Unity and Rural Advancement Government appreciated the Taiwanese Government's continuing support towards its fee free basic education initiative.
