Australian Employer Raises Betelnut Concern

A major Australian company involved in the recruitment of Solomon Islanders under the Australia Pacific Labour Mobility (PALM) Scheme has raised concerns over the use of Betel- nut by workers under its establishments.
The construction of standpipes, a tank and a pipeline project is funded by Australia and now supplies water to 345 people in Mwanihuki, providing the community with reliable access to water and improved sanitation.

Australian High Commissioner Visits Project Sites in Makira

Australia’s largest meat and food processing company, JBS Primo is in the Solomon Islands to conduct recruitment under the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) Scheme.
