"The winner of the qualifying cup will then go for the Beach Soccer World Cup in August 2009," says Oimae.
He said that currently there are twenty two players in the squad but a second trial will be held to cut the team to twelve players.
He added that there are eight old players within the squad and the rest, being new players selected from the current beach soccer league held at the Ranadi Beach Club and DC Park.
The Beach Soccer league will end this month as according to Mr. Oimae.
National Beach Soccer Team in Preparation
The Solomon Islands Beach Soccer Team Manager, Reuben Oimae stated that the team began training a month ago to prepare for the Oceania Qualifiers Cup to be held in Noumea, New Caledonia in January 2009.
