Solomon Islands U-19 have qualified for the quarterfinals after two wins in Group A. They will take on Group leaders New Zealand tomorrow.

Solomon Islands U-19 qualified for the OFC U-19 Championship 2022 after two wins in Group A, including a 3-0 win over Cook Islands.

New Zealand advanced to the quarter-finals following a resounding 9-0 win over American Samoa at Stade Fautaua in Papeete, Tahiti.

The OFC U-19 Championship will decide the under-19 champions of Oceania and also decides who will represent Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) at the biennial FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Between 1974 and 2012, the competition was open to teams under 20 years of age and called the OFC U-20 Championship. Since 2014, the age limit was reduced to under 19 years of age, and since 2018, the tournament name was changed to the OFC U-19 Championship.
