Marist's spectacular comeback humbles SICHE 10-8 in the top HRUA match of the day at the Panatina Oval on Saturday.

The college boys were stunned in the last quarter of the game when Marist, trailing behind with 3 points, crossed the try line and a crucial goal winning kick from the young Ashley Wickham secured the match 10-8 at fulltime.

SICHE looked promising with a first half try but failed to convert leading the match 5-0. The speed and agility favored the college boys' game plan. Both teams were desperate to secure match winning points. SICHE converted a penalty to edge Marist 8-0 in the mid second half of the match.

The turning point came when a penalty was awarded to Marist in the last quarter, conversion was successful. For the rest of the last quarter, Marist pressured the college boys endlessly and was rewarded with a try from Bendy Kere who received a long pass from Jay to touch down near the corner flag. Young Ashley Wickham kicked the crucial conversion of the game to give Marist the match winning point defeating the college team for the first time.

In other games, Luapel had to overcome a strong Green Beret side to win 15-3 full-time. The main match of the day saw the Henderson Hammer Heads override Sosa 26-0.
