A Former Chief Electoral Officer says the recent voter's registration for the 2010 was carried out in a corrupt manner.

John Babalu made this statement in support of the recent electoral report launched by the European Union in Honiara last week.

The report highlighted that the main shortcoming in the electoral process for 2010 was "the extremely poor quality of the voters register."

Mr Babalu says the report falls short to say that the voter's registration was actually rigged with corruption.

The former Chief Electoral Officer says he had raised these issues earlier through the course of the Electoral Commissions' registration process but it was not taken on board by the Commission.

He also called on the Government to take the report seriously.
